I've just been reinstalling my PC and switched to AVG for anti-virus.
It has flagged up my copy of WoW Econ as containing a trojan.
Not sure if this is a false positive as I don't think it was related to the problems I was having and my previous anti-virus didn't detect it but thought I would let people know just in case.
The warning was:
"E:\Bluebell\World of Warcraft\wowecon-com-prices-pc-automatic-update.exe";"Trojan horse PSW.Generic6.JPU"

Got confirmation from AVG last night that is was a trojan.

God knows - nowhere dodgy - would either have been from the wow ace downloads, through wow matrix or the curse client - I'm too lazy to get addons from anywhere else!
Wow econ has been installed at least since before xmas, maybe over a year ago, and doesn't seem to have done anything, but then after installing it I couldn't be bothered to use it once auctioneer got fixed.
